Prior to enrolment, it is recommended that at least one pre-entry visit occurs so that your child can start to become familiar with the school and the school environment. This is particularly important when a child begins schooling at age 5.
Such visits are generally made in the term just prior to a child starting school.
These visits should be arranged after a discussion about enrolment with the Principal, and then in liaison with the classroom teacher.
You can find comprehensive information about starting at South End School in our Parent Information Booklet on our Parent Information page.

From the intersection of Lincoln Road and Dalefield Road, the boundary line then extends south-east to connect with SH2 at its intersection with Waihakeke Road, and continues south back to where SH2 crosses over the Waiohine River. Hodders Road and Matarawa Road, which run off the west side of SH2, are out of zone. Odd-numbered properties 2765 and above, and even-numbered properties 2734–2824 on SH2, are in zone.
